A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by 5 people in Tripura's Khowai district.

A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by 5 people in Tripura's Khowai district.The minor girl from Khowai district was raped on July 21, 2020, by five persons in a car with the pretense of offering a lift when she was returning home after meeting her boyfriend at a remote forest area of Khasiamangal. The victim was dumped near a bank in the town of Teliamura.

As per the statement given by Deputy Inspector General of Police Soumitra Dhar, they arrested six persons initially, including the boyfriend. Later, they arrested four more people in connection to the case.
