All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen will participate in the upcoming Tamil Nadu legislative assembly election from three constituencies.The assembly elections in Tamil Nadu will be held in a single phase on April 6, and the results will be announced on May 2. A total of 6,28,23,749 voters will participate in the state's sixteenth legislative assembly elections.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), announced on March 1, 2021, that the party would contest in the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections. The AIMIM state unit president Vakeel Ahmed and in-charge of party affairs, Mohammed Rahmatullah Tayyab, signed the seat-sharing deal with Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam(AMMK) general secretary TTV Dhinakaran on March 8, 2021. AMMK will lead the alliance.

AIMIM will contest from Shankarapuram, Vaniyambadi, and Krishnagiri assembly constituencies.
