There are no verified reports of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani having a liver transplant. The claim that he underwent surgery is fake.Some Twitter users shared a cropped out picture of Mukesh Ambani, claiming that he has undergone a liver transplant in Europe and has subsequently lost weight. Image analysis of the cropped out photo led to a blog post on Medium dated Sept. 6, 2020. In the blog post, Manushree Vijayvergiya shared her experience of meeting Mukesh and Isha Ambani in a cafe in Liechtenstein. The blog post includes the original uncropped image.

Mr. Ambani, 63, has not suffered any such ailments or health issues. On Nov. 21, he spoke at the eighth Convocation of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU). In the virtual address, he reminded the gathering to continue taking precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The viral image of Mukesh with the liver transplant claim is not true.
