The Governor of California ordered bars, in Los Angles and six other counties, to be close amid a surge in coronavirus cases.Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the closure of bars in Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, San Joaquin, and Tulare on June 28, 2020. He also recommended the closure in eight other counties amid spikes in coronavirus cases. The state officials stated that the selected counties are based on their daily reports to reduce disease transmission and protect residents across the state.
