The central government's web directory has details of all government schemes and it does not show any listing of any scheme as described in the claim.A viral WhatsApp forward has claimed that the Indian government would be providing ₹2,000 as a relief to each citizen of the country. The message has a link that recipients can click to claim the amount. On clicking the link, users get redirected to another page (https://india-relief-funds.blogspot.com/). Although the message claims that the website is government-run, it does not have a gov.in or nic.in domain, which all government websites compulsorily have. The Government of India web directory, a one-point source for accessing all government websites, did not show any relevant results matching the scheme's description on searching for such a relief fund.
