The Reserve Bank of India(RBI) released the top fifty wilful defaulters list with loan write-off worth ₹ 68,600 crores.The RBI has released the wilful defaulter's list according to a petition filed by Saket Gokhale under the Right to Information Act.

Mehul Choksi's company Gitanjali Gems with ₹5,492 crores, tops the list, followed by REI Agro with ₹4,314 crores, and Winsome Diamonds and Jewellery at ₹4,076 crores. The other listed firms are Rotomac Global Private Limited, which owes ₹2,850 crores, Kudos Chemie Ltd, with ₹2,326 crores. Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd owes ₹2,212 crores, which is now Patanjali owned by Baba Ramdev.
