The Government of Karnataka has removed all COVID-19 travel restrictions for interstate travelers.An order issued by the State Health Secretary Jawaid Akhtar clarified that all inter-state and intra-state travel restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic had been canceled since August 24, 2020. According to the order, there is no need for mandatory 14-day home quarantine for interstate travelers, who are asymptomatic of COVID-19. The guideline advised the people, who have symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately self-isolate, and seek medical consultation without fail or call on the Apthamitra helpline number- 14410. The circular would be applicable for all inter-state travelers arriving in Karnataka from all states/UTs, including business travelers, students, laborers coming for work, and transit travelers.
