The news articles published by the News 18 and The Times of India confirm the arrest of a casting director in Mumbai.The News 18 on 16 March 2020 quoting a statement from Mumbai Police had reported that a casting director named Mahavir Tak was arrested from the Mumbai suburb for allegedly uploading private photographs of a 27-year-old upcoming actress with her male friend on social media.

The Times of India quoting Press Trust of India (PTI) news has reported that, according to an officer from Oshiwara police station, Mahavir Tak was arrested on the charges of molestation and under the sections of Information Technology Act and was produced before the court on 15 March 2020 and Tak was remanded to police custody.
