Pinarayi Vijayan was arrested by Ajit Doval for murdering an RSS worker.

There is insufficient evidence to prove that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was arrested by Ajit Doval in 1969 for murdering an RSS worker.

There is insufficient evidence to prove that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was arrested by Ajit Doval in 1969 for murdering an RSS worker. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) claimed that Kerala CM Vijayan was involved in the murder of an RSS activist in the state in 1969. The first murder of RSS member took place on April 28, 1969, when Vadikal Ramakrishnan was killed. The accused in the case at that time was a Kerala Socialist Youth Federation worker P Vijayan, who is now the Chief Minister of Kerala. The eyewitnesses Umesh and Balakrishnan told Janam TV that Vijayan was directly involved in the murder of Ramakrishnan and the Kannur Police had filed an FIR naming Vijayan. However, P Vijayan was acquitted by the courts for lack of evidence.

But we do not have credible sources to link Mr. Vijayan to the murder directly or to show that the then Kerala IPS cadre officer Ajit Doval had arrested Vijayan concerning the RSS worker's alleged murder.
