Lana Del Rey did not wear a mask to a poetry reading and book signing event.

Lana Del Rey was wearing a mesh face mask in her book signing event, but the mask worn by her provided no barrier from the risk of COVID-19 spread.

Lana Del Rey was wearing a mesh face mask in her book signing event, but the mask worn by her provided no barrier from the risk of COVID-19 spread. The poetry reading and book signing event for the book Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, written by Lana Del Rey, was held at a Barnes & Noble store at the Grove outdoor mall in Los Angeles on October 3, 2020. Lana Del Rey was wearing a glittery, mesh face mask at the event. It is unclear whether the mask had an invisible protective layer since the singer did not immediately respond to a comment request.

However, the mask worn by Lana Del Rey is not recommended by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It suggests wearing masks with two or more layers to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
