There is no total closure of Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai, only closure of OPD services are made and new admissions are stopped. The Times of India News on 1st April 2020 quoting sources, has reported that Out Patient Department (OPD) services at Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai were suspended and new admissions are cancelled for few days after a day one nurse and a patient tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The Business Standard News has reported that the Outpatient Department (OPD) was closed at the private-run Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai on 1st April 2020, after at least one of its staff tested positive for coronavirus.

It is true that the OPD services have been cancelled in the Jaslok Hospital but there is no official evidence at the current time to prove whether a staff of the hospital had tested positive for coronavirus.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
