There is insufficient evidence available to objectively verify the reliability of True caller mobile application. It was reported that some users had been abusing their Truecaller accounts, and the company strongly confirmed that no sensitive user information had been accessed or extracted, especially the users' financial or payment details.

According to the news reports, Truecaller said that it had begun investigations into user accounts suspected of having abused access to its platform. It has now set daily limits on the number of searches by a user and further added that the privacy of its users and the integrity of their services would be taken extremely seriously. Also, a lot of people have commented saying that the app doesn't leak the numbers out in public.

However, there are mixed concerns on the reliability of the app, and Truecaller has constantly denied that there is a breach in the users' privacy.
