News reports confirm that over 2.5 lakh candidates would be appearing for the Savitribai Phule Pune University(SPPU) examination.The SPPU has decided to go with an old pen and paper mode for examinations to be conducted in July 2020. The university director Arvind Shaligram has revealed that the decision of conducting the exams comes after direct orders were passed from the state education government authorities. The order would be extending to all the students of the final year. The exam would be conducted in a batch-wise format wherein a total of 2,50,000 students would appear for an average of seven to eight papers. However, the university has not made any clarity on the safety precautionary measures yet.
