A college student at Appalachian State University in North Carolina died on September 28, 2020, from COVID-19 complications.Chad Dorrill, a Nineteen-year-old Appalachian State University student was living off-campus and taking all of his classes online when he developed the symptoms earlier in September, a university press release stated. After testing positive for COVID-19 in his home county, he followed isolation procedures. As he got clearance from his doctor, he returned to his off-campus housing, where he developed complications and was picked up by his family and hospitalized. Later, he succumbed to the infection on September 28.
