A video of the Langowan market in Indonesia uploaded on YouTube and an article by Mongabay Environmental news website disproves the claim.A video of a market with the caption that it is the one in Wuhan, China where the 2019 coronavirus spread, is circulated on social media; Twitter for instance.

A person named Jerry Mewengkang uploaded the original video on his YouTube channel on 19 July 2019 with the caption 'Extreme food in the world is available only at Langowan Market'.

The Mongabay Environmental News article says that the 'Langowan Market' is a traditional market in Minahasa regency of Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province, where wild animals are sold for consumption.

Hence, it is confirmed that the market which is shown in the video is of Indonesia’s North Sulawesi province and not from the Wuhan city.
