
Three pictures, related to the case, were circulating on social media. Two out of the three were related to the case, and one was an old image.
The official Twitter handle of Bijnor Police tweeted two out of the three images circulating on social media. The police statement said Serkot police in Bijnor had arrested six people accused of the smuggling of illegal arms in a Madrasa. Sherkot police had raided Darul Quran Hamidia Madarsa on Kandhla road in Sherkot. Arms, including guns and cartridges, were found. The accused arrested were Mohammad Sajid (the director of Madrasa), Faheem Ahmad, Azizurmahma, Zafar Islam, Sikandar Ali, and Sabir.
Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Tyagi said that they got the information from an informer that some suspicious activities were taking place in Madrasa. According to police, a search was conducted in a room situated in Madrasa, where a clinic with a medicine unit was running. The illegal weapons and arms were stored in medicine boxes.
However, the third picture of only ammunition and arms was unrelated to the case.
