After the President signs an Executive order, the White House sends it to the Office of the Federal Register (OFR). The former U.S. President Barack Obama issued 276 executive orders between 2009 and 2017, while Donald Trump issued 193 executive orders between 2017 and 2020. Obama signed very few executive orders than Trump has in his first four years. Three-and-a-half years into his first term, Trump has signed 177 executive orders, more than the 109 Obama signed in his first four full years as president.
