A Bangladeshi man named Ahmed Faysal, who wanted to join terrorists in J&K was arrested by the Singapore security forces.

Singapore Police have arrested Ahmed Faysal under the Internal Security Act for terrorism-related activities.Terror related activities have increased globally since the publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad. Protests have been going on in several countries, and hence Singapore police had ramped up counter-terrorism investigations into suspicious activity. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a statement in this regard, which said they had identified 37 people who are suspects of inciting violence using online media. Out of those, 14 are Singaporeans and 23 foreigners, mostly Bangladeshis.

The statement said that one Bangladeshi person Ahmed Faysal has been arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA) after investigations revealed his involvement in terrorism-related activities. He was radicalized and wanted to take up arms to fight for religion. He was attracted to ISIS and shared propaganda promoting armed violence on social media using fake accounts. Further, he was also willing to travel to Kashmir to join Islamic terrorist groups to help fellow Muslims.
