Donald Trump and his wife Melania have both applied for absentee voting by mail at the Palm Beach County election office.

Donald Trump and his wife Melania have both applied for absentee voting by mail at the Palm Beach County election office.Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many states in the U.S. believe that they want mail-in ballots, as going out to vote is not advised under the present circumstances. President Trump has been vocal about the mail-in polls and has criticized it for a long time. However, both Trump and his wife Melania have reportedly applied for an absentee ballot in Florida. Reports also suggest that these ballots were en route to the Trump-owned Mar-a-Lago golf club.

On August 13, 2020, Trump said that he supported absentee ballot but not universal mail-in ballots as the latter would be sent out in bulks to post offices, which could easily be manipulated.
