The Karnataka Government has ordered a lockdown which was similar to the Uttar Pradesh model to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.Economic Times reported that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adhityanath announced the sealing of affected areas or hotspots in 15 districts across the state having a high caseload of the COVID-19 virus in a bid to prevent community spread from taking place. Those models are called Bhilwara model, which was started in Rajasthan.

The Karnataka government-imposed home quarantine. State health department officials have requested the office-bearers of apartment associations and neighbours to keep a vigil on the movement of home-quarantined individuals. The quarantine measure is similar to the Uttar Pradesh government's model.
