Times of India and NDTV reported that Dr Uma Rani Madhusudana, a physician at the MidState Medical Centre of South Windsor hospital in Connecticut, U.S. made it to headlines across the globe on 21 April 2020 when she was honoured with a vehicle parade by her patients for her service during COVID-19 outbreak. The doctor who was a student of JSS Medical College Mysore can be seen acknowledging the honour and waving back at the parade.

The video was shared by Karnataka State Education Minister, Dr Sudhakar who tweeted that he was happy to share the video of Dr Uma Madhusudhan, who was being honoured in front of her house by grateful patients. he said it was a beautiful sight of cars, police vehicles, fire trucks lining up in gratitude, waving and honking to thank Dr Uma.
