At least 50,000 extra Indian troops have been sent to the border area after China moved additional forces to Xinjiang military command.
China has reportedly constructed permanent structures along the LAC and also added long-range artillery, tanks, rocket, and twin-engine fighters in the last few months. The talks between the two countries have not yielded any positive results.
India is defending its borders by deploying troops and fighter jets. India has roughly 200,000 troops stationed on the borders with China. The present deployment of troops is a 40 percent increase from the previous year. In addition, the Indian navy is also putting more warships along key sea lanes to encounter china's dominance. According to a military official, the shifting of troops is part of a strategy called offensive defense, which would provide Indian commanders with an option to attack and seize Chinese territory if necessary.
