Statement by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirmed that a tiger at New York's Bronx Zoo tests positive for COVID-19.The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Veterinary Services Laboratories has reported that a 4-year-old Malayan tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for COVID-19. The public health officials believe these tigers became sick after staying open to a zoo employee who was infected from the virus. The zoo has been closed to the public since mid-March, and the first tiger began showing signs of sickness on 27 March 2020.
