Narendra Modi was pictured riding a bicycle alongside drug case accused Pamela Goswami.

The viral image of PM Narendra Modi riding a bicycle with Pamela is morphed and the duo was never pictured riding a bicycle together.

The viral image of PM Narendra Modi riding a bicycle with Pamela is morphed and the duo was never pictured riding a bicycle together.Amid the West Bengal Assembly elections, the BJP faced a setback as Pamela Goswami, a BJP youth wing leader, was arrested for possession of around 100 grams of cocaine. Soon after, the images of Pamela riding a bicycle besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi went viral.

We did a reverse image search and found Pamela's original picture riding a bicycle that she had posted on her Facebook account on December 1, 2020. Unlike the viral image, PM Modi was not riding the bicycle beside her.

Further, the image of Modi riding the bicycle was taken during his visit to the Netherlands back in 2017. Times of India had reported the news of PM Modi's day-long visit to the Netherlands with the images of him riding the bicycle as the Dutch PM was seen standing beside him. Even Prime minister Modi had tweeted thanking the Dutch prime minister for gifting him the bicycle.

The images of Modi with a bicycle back in 2017 and the image of Pamela Goswami riding a bicycle in December 2020 have been merged together to spread false propaganda in the wake of the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. Thus, the viral image has been photoshopped by combining two different images into a single frame.
