There is no evidence that such an award exists in Michigan. Trump was given a framed copy of Lincoln’s Gettysburg address in 2013 at Michigan.President Donald Trump has reiterated the claim that he was honored with a 'Man of the Year' award at an event in Michigan. His claim is vague. He has not mentioned the year or the organization's name that honored him with this award.

Trump's statements from different rallies, campaigns, and speeches have been checked and corresponded by organizations. No journalist or news organization has found any evidence which supports this claim.

As reported by CNN, former Republican congressman Dave Trott contacted CNN and other news organizations addressing the claim. He acknowledged that in 2013 Trott had organized the dinner. He invited Trump to be the keynote speaker of the Oakland County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner in Michigan. During that ceremony, Trott presented Trump with a tie, a statuette of Abraham Lincoln, and a framed copy of the Gettysburg address. He continued that they did not give Trump any 'Man of the Year' award, nor did anyone else. He suggested that Trump may have mistaken the token of gratitude as an award.

Trump has received similar titles. He was designated as Time Magazine's Person of the Year in 2016, the Statesman of the Year award from the Republican Party of Sarasota County, Florida, in 2012. The Somerset County Republican Organization in New Jersey honored Trump with the group's Republican of the Year award in 2014 after he developed Trump National Country Club in Bedminster.
