BJP leaders are blamed for provoking communal riots in Delhi in the report submitted by the Delhi Minorities Commission and not by the court of law.The Fact-Finding report of the violence that took place in North East was released by Zafrul-Islam Khan, Chairman of Delhi Minorities Commission. The 130-page report named Kapil Mishra and senior BJP leader Amit Shah as responsible for provocative speeches and raising communal sentiments in Delhi before the riots. The report also called out the Delhi Police for their inaction. It also noted that violence was not spontaneous but was pre-planned and organized.
However, the Delhi High court or the Supreme Court of India has not called out the accused politicians in the report for inciting violence in the national capital and no legal actions have been taken against them. Some of the cases filed by the victims of the violence is still pending in the Delhi High Court and a final verdict is yet to be delivered.
