Clarification issued by the Mumbai Police on 24 April 2020 confirms that there was no relaxation in lockdown rules for Ramazan.A video circulating on social media has gone viral, which claims a cop is seen announcing that shops and establishments will remain open from 3 a.m to 12 noon during the holy month of Ramzan reportedly from Nagpada area of Mumbai. In response, Mumbai Police clarified that the message being circulated is fake and the lockdown shall remain in force as before. DCP Pranay Ashok also said that Zonal level DCPs are taking extra precautions, to carry on lockdown measure during the month of Ramzan.
