Karnataka reported a 26.18 percent of COVID-19 test positivity rate in the first week of May.
Data prepared by the state Health Ministry showed that the Positivity Rate from May 3 to May 8 in percentage terms had crossed 26.18. The test positivity rate is simply the percentage of people who test positive for the virus out of those tested. Meanwhile, Bangalore alone recorded a positivity rate of more than 55 percent on a single day as only symptomatic patients were tested.
