India is now the second country after the U.S. to administer 200 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The country reached the milestone of administering 200 million doses of vaccine on May 26, 2021. Only United States has reached the landmark in fewer days. It took 130 days for India to cross 200 million doses, whereas it took 124 days in the U.S.
However, China has administered the highest number of jabs globally, followed by the U.S. and India. But in terms of the total population, India is lagging as only around 3 percent have received the full dose.
