Australian Open 2021 tournament will be starting from Feb 8 to Feb 21, 2021. The players have to undergo mandatory 14-days quarantine in Melbourne.
The Australian government announced that foreign tennis players would not be allowed to travel to the country before Dec 31, 2020. The Victorian state government declined to spare anybody from the mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
As per the ESPN report, players and their support teams will be tested before departing for Australia and then a minimum of five times during their quarantine period. If they test positive, they will be subject to standard quarantine arrangements until being cleared by public health officials.
