An activity reported by The International Federation of Professional Football Associations in its COVID-19 blog confirms the claim.In the blog, the federation informs that the French football players had agreed for salary deduction because of coronavirus crisis and cited an AFP article which says that footballers and clubs in France's top two leagues reached a non-binding agreement and that the pay cuts of players would be calculated on a sliding scale starting at 20 per cent. The article also stated that players earning 1,00,000 euros per month would face a 50 per cent reduction and players earning less than 10,000 euros would not be affected and also the female players will receive their full salaries.
