Two CPI(M) MLAs have offered support to the Gehlot government in Rajasthan.

The two legislators of the Communist Party of India(M), Balwan Poonia and Girdharilal Mahiya, will support the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan.

The two legislators of the Communist Party of India(M), Balwan Poonia and Girdharilal Mahiya, will support the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan.On July 14, 2020, the CPI(M) MLA Balwan Poonia supported the Rajasthan Congress government of Ashok Gehlot. He said that he would not allow any attempts to topple the elected Gehlot's government to succeed. The other CPI(M) MLA of Bikaner's Shri Dungargarh constituency Girdharilal Mahiya was busy protecting his fields from the worst-hit locusts. Girdharilal said he would follow his party's decision.

The CPI(M) said it would decide on supporting the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot-led government once it becomes apparent when the floor test will be held in the Rajasthan assembly. On July 27, 2020, Sitaram Yechury, CPI(M) general secretary, clarified that both the legislators of CPI(M) in the Rajasthan assembly would support the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan.
