Two Chinese nationals who targeted COVID-19 vaccine research in the U.S have been indicted and the court will decide if they are guilty.The U.S. Justice Department indicted two Chinese nationals over their role in targeting US-based companies involved in medical research to fight the novel coronavirus. The U.S. security official said that Chinese government-linked hackers targeted biotech company Moderna Inc, a U.S.-based coronavirus vaccine research developer, to steal data. Moderna Inc is a biotechnology company based in Massachusetts and is a frontrunner in the race to develop a COVID-19 vaccine. Officials said that the private hackers received support from Chinese intelligence agents, including an officer from the Chinese Ministry of State Security, in stealing information of apparent interest to the Chinese government.
