An unidentified person covered a statue of late prime minister Indira Gandhi with a burqa in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, some morning walkers on May 9, 2019 saw a statue of Indira Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh covered with a black robe. The news spread in no time and a large number of Congress leaders gathered at the spot, shouting slogans against the district administration and demanding an inquiry into the incident.
