The Taliban urged women in Afghanistan to stay home as the fighters are not trained to respect women.

Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid has asked women in Afghanistan to remain indoors until their soldiers are trained to deal with women.

Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid has asked women in Afghanistan to remain indoors until their soldiers are trained to deal with women.Taliban took over the control of Afghanistan after president Ashraf Ghani fled the country and the NATO withdrew its forces. Many Afghans are trying to escape from the country as they fear that the Taliban may impose repressive rule. During the last regime, the militant group had banned women from the workplace and stopped them from going out unaccompanied. This time they have promised better rights for women as many countries and the UN has expressed grave concern about women's basic rights.

The Taliban spokesperson touched upon the issue and said they had issued instructions asking women to stay home. He reasoned that their men are not trained on how to deal with women. He also said that the guidance would be temporary until the situation becomes normal. However, many Taliban leaders have not given any assurance on women's rights, and some of the women have already been targeted.
