It started its services from June 15. Western Railways has announced additional trains to ferry essential services staff as identified by the Government of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, experts have suggested that the Railways not to resume local train services for the general public until September. Local train services continue to remain suspended for commuters. A senior CR official was quoted as saying that there have been no discussions on the starting of local train services for the public in the city.
