It is not possible to verify the claim whether multiplexes in India would have to wait some more time to make revenues because it is speculation.According to an analytics company Crisil, multiplexes would have a reduction in the revenue due to the coronavirus pandemic. As social distancing is the main way to prevent coronavirus, multiplexes have to halve the seating capacity, even after the lifting of lockdown. Sachin Gupta, Senior Director of Crisil, predicted that the occupancy rate of multiplexes would reduce to 15% in this fiscal, which was 30% last year. Gupta mentioned that these occupancy rates are expected to come back to normal in the next fiscal. Also, It is still unknown when the Multiplexes in India will start its operations.
