There is no credible evidence to confirm whether the Russian government has expanded its military influence in Africa.According to a report published by German daily newspaper Bild, based on a leaked German Foreign Ministry report, which was titled Russia's new Africa ambitions, Russia is planning to step up military cooperation with African countries as part of its new Africa strategy. The report also added that 180 Russian army instructors were based in the Central African Republic or elsewhere in Africa.

There is no official announcement by the authorities of both the governments over Russia's expansion of military bases in Africa's six countries.
