Statements made by Dhirendra Singh, a survivor from accident affirms that he raised alarm to alert his co-workers who had slept on the railway track.Among the four survivors of the Aurangabad train accident, Dhirendra Singh said that he tried his best to alert his co-workers sleeping on tracks about a fast-approaching freight train but, the train ran over them and they died. He also informed that he and other survivors of the accident were few meters away from the track consequently able to save themselves from the accident.
The Superintendent of Police Mokshada Patil, who had a conversation with survivors, reported that three survivors tried to wake up the others by frantically shouting. The survivors were identified as Dhirendra Singh, Virendrasingh Gaur and Shivman Singh Gaur and the injured Sajjan Singh.
