Bhojpuri film actor Mohammad Shahid and his friend Sayyed Zen Hussain were arrested for allegedly printing fake currency notes.On March 12, 2021, Mohammad Shahid, an actor from the Bhojpuri film industry, was arrested with his friend Sayyed Zen for printing fake currency notes and stealing vehicles. The Delhi Police seized fake notes worth ₹50 lakh.

The two allegedly cheated people by tricking them into exchanging genuine currency notes with three fake ones of the same denomination.

Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) RP Meena told Hindustan Times that the duo was arrested after receiving information that they frequented Delhi's New Friends Colony. The police found 200 bundles of currency notes in Shahid's bag with rupee notes of 2,000, 500, 200, 100, and 50 in it. After verification, the notes were found to be counterfeit.

Shahid is said to have worked in a Bhojpuri movie and featured in Bhojpuri songs on YouTube. He incurred financial losses during the lockdown and hence started to print fake notes and steal vehicles.
