He was admitted to the Medanta hospital in Gurugram on the doctor's advice.

Later on August 14, 2020, through his official twitter handle he announced that he has been tested negative for COVID-19 infection and also added that he will be discharged from the hospital. But, as he was complaining of fatigue and body ache for last three-four days he is now admitted to AIIMS for post-COVID-19 care.
