The Chinese firm CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Company Limited got technically disqualified in the bidding process of the Kanpur and Agra Metro projects.Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation(UPMRC) awarded the Rolling Stock and Signaling System Metro project to Bombardier Transport India Private Limited, the lowest bidder. The Chinese company's bid was disqualified at the technical package evaluation stage as 'it did not fulfill requirements of experience and turnover.' Four companies, including Chinese firm CRRC, had placed bids for Kanpur and Agra Metro projects for supply of 67 three-car train sets as well as communications-based train controls.
