Several states have imposed lockdown to contain the spread of the virus. Karnataka also announced a complete lockdown with more restrictions in place starting from May 10 to 24.

The lockdown guidelines announced on May 7 permitted e-commerce to carry out home deliveries of all the items. However, the revised guidelines issued on May 10 noted that e-commerce services could deliver only essential items throughout the state. It also allowed other essential services like Telecom, banks, Insurance companies, PSU's and other government establishments to function with 50 percent staff.
