According to Times, two people familiar to her have said that she is considering a Senate run in her native state of North Carolina, which has been historically Republican and has emerged as a swing state. The current senator Richard Burr’s term gets completed in 2022, and he has announced that he would not be running in the next election.

Lara Trump has declined to comment to the Times regarding her plans; however, she tweeted her response to a host over the piece of news of her considering senate.
