Until Sept. 2018, Trump has appointed 1 African American, 1 Hispanic, and 60 white federal judges under Article III federal judges.According to the Pew Research Center, until Sept. 28 the Trump administration appointed a total of 67 judges out of which 1 was African American, 1 Hispanic, 5 Asian Americans, and 68 were white, the lowest such percentage of any president of either party since George H.W. Bush, whose appointed judges were also 10% nonwhite. As of Sept. 30, there were 738 total active federal judges. Nearly half (49%) are white men, nearly a quarter (24%) are white women, 17% are nonwhite men and 11% are nonwhite women.
According to USA Today, among Trump's first 87 judicial nominees, only one was African American and one was Hispanic. Five were Asian Americans and eighty were white.
