A survey of 4,500 parents with young children indicated a divided picture on the take-up.

A survey of parents conducted by Early Years Alliance reflected a divided picture on the take-up of nurseries and early years providers.

A survey of parents conducted by Early Years Alliance reflected a divided picture on the take-up of nurseries and early years providers.According to the Alliance’s survey, just 45% of parents of childcare providers said to take up their place after reopening, 42 percent are not, with 13 percent undecided. Around 4,500 parents responded to the survey who rated the government's efforts to reopen the childcare settings as 3.9 on a scale of 1-10.

The findings showed how split parents were over whether or not to send their children back to childcare because of safety concerns.
