The directive says that the veterans can avail only 50 percent on grocery items and liquor due to disruption and limited chain supply.The sale of items and liquor was disrupted for the past around one and a half months because of lockdown measures. The veterans were deprived of the essential items and liquor. The CSD canteens have resumed operations from 7 May following a decision by the Quarter Master General’s (QMG) branch of Army Headquarters. However, they have been told to regulate the sale of items such as liquor and grocery. The directive says that ex-servicemen will be able to purchase up to 50 per cent of the quota of liquor.
