Trump's Washington hotel had been sold out for election night and days before Nov. 3 for the election party to be hosted, which was later called off.Earlier, Trump's campaign had sent out multiple fund-raising solicitations to his supporters through email, which stated that an election party had been arranged in Trump's Washington DC hotel. VIP pass and flight had been arranged for the guests. Two hundred sixty-three rooms at the hotel have been sold out since Jan. 2020. It was not clear whether the president would attend the festivities at the hotel. On Oct. 30, 2020, Trump said he has not decided where he would be to spend the evening.

However, President Trump reportedly called off plans to host an election night event at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. According to the New York Times. In an interview on Fox News, President's son Eric Trump said that the party might be moved over to the White House. Capital city's coronavirus regulations currently restrict events to a maximum capacity of 50 people, including all attendees and staff.
