U.S. state governors have been mentioned as members in the list of the Chinese Communist party members.

There is no credible evidence to verify whether the leaked documents are true. It is not possible to tie the U.S. state governors to the CCP.

There is no credible evidence to verify whether the leaked documents are true. It is not possible to tie the U.S. state governors to the CCP. A recent data leak accessed by some Australian journalists claims that around two million Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members have infiltrated many of the world's top firms and organizations. The data reportedly says that thousands of such groups are present in western companies and that these cells report directly to the CCP. It is believed that this data was leaked for the first time in 2016 from a server in Shanghai.

This data has reportedly named many top U.S. officials, including ones in very influential positions to be members of the CCP. The data also shows that the CCP has considerable influence in various countries both at the corporate and legislative fronts. The details mentioned in the data also contain names, party positions, etc. However, since the data could not be verified, experts are believed to be reviewing the data.

On Feb. 8, 2020, Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo remarked at the National Governors Association 2020 Winter Meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center about how U.S. Governors become China's CCP members. He also warned Governors that China was harming the U.S. and our industries by sending manipulative Governors.

The leaked list of CCP members contains about 24 U.S. Governors' names. But the authenticity of the list remains obscure and has not been verified. Also, with the source's origin is questionable and very little known about its content, we cannot currently verify the details provided in the data leak.
