Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said there were no plans to impose a lockdown in Delhi.
In his address, Kejriwal gave no hint of the lockdown being imposed again and asked Delhiites to follow basic principles to fight the virus. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia categorically said that the AAP government has no such plans, and it was just a misconception being spread. However, he said they had asked the central government to delegate some powers to impose restrictions locally during the Diwali celebrations. He said they might close some markets that have the potential of becoming Covid-19 hotspots as people were seen not observing social distance measures.
